Neal For Mayor / Communications Strategy

The Ask: Use my marketing and communications expertise to consult Neal Sáles-Griffin and his team on his run for mayor of Chicago in 2018/19.

My Role: Defined the scope and roles of the marketing and communications teams on Neal’s staff (~12 team members); defined a one-page brand strategy for how to talk about Neal as a candidate that was used by petition circulators in an effort to get Neal on the ballot; created a blue-print for a “get out the vote” communications plan.

The Outcome: Helped Neal, an entrepreneur with virtually zero political experience, become one of the 14 candidates on the ballot for mayor of Chicago.
